Today, Kadenze’s most popular courses on creative programming, music production, art history, and professional development are once again available to students all over the world. Beginning today, “Introduction to Programming for Musicians and Digital Artists”, “Sound Production in Ableton Live for Musicians and Artists”, “Sound Synthesis Using Reaktor”, “The Modern Genius: Art and Culture in the 19th Century”, “Project Management for Designers”, and “Introducing Entrepreneurship for Musicians” will now be available with Adaptive Scheduling enabled.

With Adaptive Scheduling, students have more freedom than ever on Kadenze.  No more waiting week-to-week for new course content to become available. When a student enrolls in a course in Adaptive Scheduling mode, they gain access to the entire library of lecture videos for that course immediately.

Even coursework has now been personalized with Adaptive Scheduling. Students can now submit assignments and unlock the next one right away, making it possible to complete a course in days or weeks instead of months.

How does it work?

Kadenze courses will now be offered as either Scheduled or Adaptive courses.

A Scheduled course follows a set calendar, with a course start/end date, prescribed due dates for assignments, and new lecture content that is released on specific dates.

Adaptive courses are more flexible in terms of scheduling, allowing students to initiate sessions and progress through course material at their own pace.

Why create this feature?

Learning, like inspiration, doesn’t always follow a schedule. Since launching in June, it has been a priority at Kadenze to create a system that maintains the academic vigor of the Kadenze experience while also making that experience more customizable. It’s all a part of making Kadenze more flexible and user-friendly every day.

“Adaptive Scheduling will allow Kadenze students to have an experience that is customized to their lives and busy schedules,” says Ajay Kapur (President and CEO of Kadenze). “This is a key goal in the expansion of Kadenze classroom globally. ”

What happens next?

The courses relaunching today represent some of the very best from Kadenze. Interested students can sign up and watch the almost eighty hours worth of lecture videos free of charge on Kadenze.com. There, they will find a growing community of educators and students participating in discussion forums and coursework galleries.

Students who are interested in submitting assignments, receiving feedback, and utilizing Kadenze’s portfolio feature to showcase their creations on Kadenze or across social media can sign up for Kadenze Premium Membership (a $7/month subscription service). Premium members who complete these courses will also receive a verified Certificate of Accomplishment from Kadenze for their efforts.

“We’re super excited to be launching these courses, which have become staples of our Kadenze catalog, in a truly “binge-able” format, thanks to  the newly deployed “Adaptive Scheduling” capabilities of our platform,” says Perry Cook (Executive Vice President and co-founder of Kadenze). “In keeping with our dedication to the vision that education and  knowledge should be available to all people everywhere, we now can offer these courses to be taken anytime.”
