KADENZE OPENS HIGH-QUALITY GRAPHIC ILLUSTRATION COURSE
Cornish College of the Arts course is the first creative design course to be offered on Kadenze.
Valencia, CA – November 10th, 2015 – Kadenze opens Introduction to Graphic Illustration from Cornish College of the Arts. This new offering is the very first creative design course to be offered on Kadenze and continues to expand Kadenze’s catalog of courses focused on the visual arts.
Working alongside peers from around the world, Introduction to Graphic Illustration students will explore illustration fundamentals using both hand-drawn and digital elements (such as Adobe Creative Cloud). They will complete creative projects which are purpose-built to help develop their own personal style and “visual voice” while also learning the project management skills necessary to implement any commercial illustration.
Introduction to Graphic Illustration is taught by educator and freelance designer, Junichi Tsuneoka. Tsuneoka has over fifteen years of professional design experience, but in 2006, he founded STUDIO STUBBORN SIDEBURN. Since then, he has created work for clients such as Nike, Adidas, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo!, Complex Magazine (and many more). Tsuneoka is also an educator at Cornish College of the Arts where he lectures in the graphic design program.
“The possibilities for illustration are growing so fast these days,” says Tsuneoka. “In my class[es], I want to help students understand how to design something from an idea, and then put that design into practice.”
All interested students will be able to watch the 5 sessions worth of lecture videos and participate in forum discussions for Introduction to Graphic Illustration free-of-charge. Students who are looking to participate in the creative projects and receive feedback on their work are encouraged to sign up for Kadenze Premium Membership (a $7/month subscription based service). Upon the successful completion of this course, premium students will receive a Verified Certificate of Accomplishment for Kadenze as proof of their efforts.
